GENERAL INFORMATION & POLICIES

LEFT-OVER POLICY

Blue Owl Cakes & Catering does not leave left overs. In accordance with the Department of Health and Safety official recommendations requiring that food remaining within temperature danger zones for extended amounts of time may not be released to you or guests.  Blue Owl Cakes and Catering does not send any food items home with guests.  We enforce this policy to minimize the risk of food borne illness due to improper handling or storage of leftover items.  

For all drop off catered events, acceptance of the customer releases Blue Owl Cakes and Catering from all claims and liability of food borne illness at anytime following the point of delivery. 

Blue Owl Cakes and Catering prepares an abundant amount of food to ensure that our last guest receives the same quantity as your first guest.

RESERVING THE DATE

It is the policy of Blue Owl Cakes and Catering to receive a reservation fee of $500 to reserve the event date.  This fee is non-refundable and will be deducted from the total amount of the catering service upon the time of invoicing. 

All banquets menu selections must be made a minimum of twenty (20) business days prior to the date of the event.  

CAKE CUTTING SERVICES

Don't have someone to cut your cake or do not have time? $75.00 cake cutting fee is charged if we cut your cakes, this price includes disposable plates and forks.  

FEES

  • All prices are subject to an 18% and 5.5% state and local sales tax. 

  • Uses of a credit cards will have a 5% additional charge of the total bill. 

  • A travel surcharge beyond the Sauk Prairie Area will be charged. 

SERVING TIME

Catering events requiring service are entitled to one hour of service time.  After the one hour allotted time you will be billed on a per hour rate of $35 per servicer.  It is important to stay on schedule.  We want your food served while it is at its best. 

ON PREMISE FEE

Our menu is fee friendly and designed to be done in parks or private property.  We have not included the 'On Premise Fee' charge for various establishments that charge an additional fee to the caters.  Those fees will be added to the final bill. 

GUARANTEES

Confirmation of the number of guests to b made no later than ten (10) business days prior to the date of the event.  You may add to the guaranteed count until two (2) days prior to the service.  Once given a county - it may not be lowered.  If no guarantee is received, Blue Owls Cakes and Catering reserves the right to base billing charges on the expected number of guests noted at the time the function is booked. 

Meal charged will be based on guarantees as follow:

  • The guarantee

  • The actual number of guests served if greater than the guarantee

  • The expected number if no guarantee is received

For corporate functions the balance due will be paid in full at the end of the event unless prior arrangements have been made. 

FOOD ALLERGIES

All food is prepared in a commercial kitchen that handles nuts, shellfish and raw eggs regularly.  If food allergies exist, you are responsible for making alternative eating arrangements.
